It's Alive!

Just a quick one as I have been very busy lately! I have had family visit, started a new band, and continued to mess around with LÖVE in a naive and likely doomed attempt at a RTS Tank game. Also, Cassie and I went hiking in Yosemite and found this bear family! These photos were taken with a zoom lens from a respectful and safe distance. Mother Bear! Bears! I have managed to track down a monitor and install ubuntu on the rover’s Raspberry Pi. ROS is installing as I type. I guess the next step is to convert the Python Rover class into a ROS node.

EDIT: (5 hours later) Bricked it. Yet to figure out what happened but will try again tomorrow. fun!

EDIT: (3 days later) I moved back to Raspbian and sucessfully built ROS Indigo! I am currently doing my own tests, but if everything seems fine I will freeze and upload the SD image.
